Sewage backing up right now?

Stop running water anywhere in the building, including the washing machine and dishwasher, and stop flushing. Every gallon added has nowhere to go but back into the lowest fixture.

Tell us what the drain is doing

The more specific you are, the more accurate the quote. If several fixtures are affected, say which ones — that usually decides whether this is a branch line job or a main line job, and the two are priced differently.

For anything actively backing up, call rather than submit the form.

Same-day service in Seguin where the schedule allows. Emails sent overnight are answered the next working morning.

Is it the City's line or yours?

The City of Seguin owns and maintains the portion of each customer's sewer service line from the collection main to the customer's point of connection, typically a cleanout near the front property line. Report a suspected problem in the city main on (830) 401-2404.

For everything on your side of that connection, call us. If you are not sure which you have, a camera inspection settles it — and under City Ordinance 2016-42, where the footage confirms the defect sits in the public right-of-way, the City schedules and completes the repair at no cost to the owner.

What to have ready when you call

Five pieces of information let us quote accurately over the phone instead of guessing and revising on site. None of them require you to know anything about plumbing.

  • Which fixtures are affected. One sink, or several drains at once. This is the single most useful thing you can tell us, because it separates a branch line job from a main line job.
  • When it started, and whether it has happened before. A first-time blockage and the third blockage in a year get approached differently.
  • Whether you know where the cleanout is. A capped pipe at ground level, usually near the building or the front property line. If there isn't one, say so — it changes the access method.
  • Roughly when the property was built. It points to the likely pipe material, which decides what is safe to use in the line.
  • Anything already poured or pushed down there. Especially chemical drain openers. Standing caustic liquid has to be handled before mechanical work starts, and it is safer for everyone if it isn't a surprise.

What to do while you wait

Stop adding water to a blocked system. That single action prevents most of the damage that happens between the phone call and the van arriving.

  • Stop using every drain in the building, including the washing machine and dishwasher, which discharge large volumes without anyone watching.
  • Do not flush. If the main line is blocked, the water has nowhere to go except back through the lowest fixture in the house.
  • Do not pour chemical drain opener in. It will not clear a blocked main line, and it makes the pipe and the visit more hazardous.
  • Move what you can off the floor near the lowest drain — usually a downstairs shower, tub or floor drain.
  • If waste is surfacing outside at the cleanout, that is actually the system working as intended. Keep people and pets away from it and leave it alone.

Not sure which service you need?

Start from the symptom rather than the service name. If one fixture is slow, it is a branch line. If several are slow at once, it is the main line. If a blockage keeps returning, the pipe has a defect and cleaning is a holding action.
